Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is such an amazing sight to see your children laugh, learn, play and enjoy themselves here at our school. God has blessed us with a wonderful community and seeing your children fully engaged with everything that we do here is exactly why I became an educator. We are in full swing for the month of October and there are many activities coming our way, starting with our Catalog fundraiser. Please remember that for this fundraiser 50% of your total sales will count towards your yearly requirement. We will definitely do our part to get your child excited so that they can contribute with their energy and have an opportunity to win daily prizes! We are also letting our students name our fish! The top three classes in overall fundraiser sales will be able to name our fish here in the office.
St. Bernard Spirit Day is here! We have the awesome opportunity to raise funds for our school by simply having a meal at Chick-fil-A. Please have your family and friends go to the Lakewood Chick-Fil-A and mention our school name when ordering their meal. Chick-fil-A will donate a % of the sales to our school. How great is that!
We had our picture day on Oct. 3 and it was a success! If your child was absent on this day, please be aware that our make-up day is November 14.
A home language survey is in the yellow envelop this week. Please take time to fill out the form and return it to the school. This information is necessary to determine some of the needs that our community may have and the types of funds we can request to better help our students.
***If you didn’t get a chance to read last week’s bulletin on our two big events this month, here it is again:
Trunk or treat & All Saints Jamboree is coming, and room parents will be called to meet and help plan these events. Trunk o Treat will be a fun full day in which the students will be able to dress up, have a parade, participate in the costume contest and trunk o treat around our parking lot visiting themed decorated cars (1-3pm). Parents will pass out goodies and also participate in a car decorating contest with a chance to win an ice cream party for their child’s classroom. The All Saints Day Jamboree will be a full day like years before but with the change in day (Thursday) emphasizing the lives of the saints. Students will be asked to dress up as a Saint they researched in their classrooms, we will have mass and the students will march in through the back of the church. Please note that you should not feel that you need to buy anything but look through the house for some clothes that resemble the saint. Students may be checked out after the event is over.
***TUITION BALANCES – A friendly reminder: Please be aware that all balances that are past due need to be taken care of as soon as possible. Failure to attend to this matter may result in financial suspension. In the case of financial suspension your child will not be allowed to attend our school until the matter is resolved. Please contact the office if you have questions.
