Dear Parents and Guardians,
Christ is risen! He is truly risen!
Happy Easter to all of our families. This past Sunday we celebrated the third Sunday of Easter and the Gospel spoke about how the disciples went off to fish. This happened after Christ’s resurrection and the Church helps us understand that although the disciples knew of the resurrection of Christ they still were going through the process of what this experienced meant for their lives and for the entire world. St. Peter is given the opportunity to respond to Christ’s question “Do you love me?” As the body of Christ we are also asked this same question and each day we have an opportunity to answer Christ with our actions. We pray that we may receive the spirit of His resurrection in order to say “Yes!” to Christ and transform the world just as the apostles began to do so in that time.
I want to thank all the teachers, parents, the MMR group and Sharefest for a wonderful “Workday” this past Saturday, May 4th. Many of us came together as a community to help beautify the school and begin our process of transforming our campus to a small beautiful haven for all our student. You will notice our newly painting name on our building, various new plants around our campus, a new storage container by the Parish Hall, a new fence shade in the back of our main building, new plants by the entryway and various other things. This is a work in progress and we pray that we may complete this phase this summer. Thank you to all of you that made this possible. Special thanks to the teachers.
This past Sunday we celebrated with our First Communicatants. It was a wonderful mass with many of our students attending in support of this wonderful occasion. Special thanks to Ms. Fusillo and Mrs. Lopez for helping these kids on their journey. Please check our Instagram for some nice footage of this special event.
Jog-A-Thon is here! May 10th. We are starting approximately at 10am. The Los Angels County Fire Dept Station 23 will be visiting us on this day and possibly watering down our students. If you’d like your child to get somewhat wet after the run please make sure he/she brings an extra set of clothes.
Apart from the gifts named in our packet, any child that meets the minimum of $75 will have their name up in our office on our Color Wall! Please make sure not to forget us during your spring break and reach out to your loved ones.
Please visit our website for any updates to our calendar and upcoming events.
