Field trips are wonderful educational opportunities scheduled for each grade level. All field trips are related to the curriculum, have an educational purpose and are appropriate for the age and grade level of the students. All field trips are planned by the classroom teacher and worked out with the room mothers. Trips to the Nature Museum, Discovery Place and Cultural Arts events are part of the regular curriculum.
A formal permission slip signed by a parent or guardian must be received for each student for each field trip. Verbal permission is not acceptable. A copy of the permission slip is included in Forms section of this website, please print it as necessary when students lose or forget a slip. Students will be retained at school if their permission slips are not in order.
Field trips are a privilege and students can be denied participation if they fail to meet academic or behavioral requirements. Medical conditions interfering with a field trip will be handled on an individual basis.
