ADMISSION pROCESS
Selecting a school for your child can be difficult. At St. Bernard Catholic School, we do our best to make your decision as simple as possible. Our school is a place where your student will be challenged yet nurtured, where academics will prepare your child for high school, where the community is welcoming, and where opportunities are available to explore interests beyond the basic academic subjects.
Students are admitted based on space available. Priority is given to returning students and students of parish families.

Complete a Tour Request form, and tour the school or attend Open House.
- We believe it is important for families to visit the school, meet our faculty and staff, and ask questions before enrolling.
- Prospective students are welcome to tour the school with their parent/guardian.
Submit Academic Records (transfer students)
- Students transferring to St. Bernard from another school must provide copies of their most recent academic records. Please submit a Records Release Form to your current school so they can transfer your records to our school.
Complete a Shadow Day (3rd through 8th grades)
- To ensure they are comfortable and excited about enrolling at St. Bernard, students in grades 3 through 8 must attend a Shadow Day. They will spend the day with their prospective classmates participating in classroom activities. Please email Miss Juliana Volz at [email protected] or call the school office at 562-867-9410 to schedule a Shadow Day.
Complete New Student Registration Packet

If your student is invited to enroll, an appointment will be made so the new student’s registration packet can be submitted. You will also need to submit the required documents and complete the required school forms. Note: a copy of your student’s birth certificate must be submitted.
